MELLOWROCK BOOM BOOM’S BIO

Growing up in Queens came with many lessons, and one that MellowRock (Boom Boom) learned early is that you have to take inspiration where you find it. Sometimes that means creating your own, and right now that’s exactly what she is doing. In the midst of her writing her first singles, “Kind of love I Need” “Super Normal” “Good Trouble” “Paygirl” “Payback” “Yippiee” and “ISM” with the help from producers Uptown Mixers and GoldHeart Records,” MellowRock (Boom Boom) is charting the first steps on her musical journey.

MellowRock (Boom Boom) isn’t quite who you’d expect. It starts with her music, since the same streets she wandered as a kid gave the world rap legends like L.L.Cool J, Run-D.M.C., Nas, and 50 Cent. But there are other facets to the music, since the same part of the Five Boroughs also gave us pop, R&B, Soul and Gospel from legends like Paul Simon, K Michelle, Beyonce, Kelly Price, and Nicki Minaj.

That diverse set of influences isn’t all that informs her music. Her never-ending education has taken her on a long and winding road through the success in sciences that currently finds her working on her doctorate. She’s now bringing the same wisdom, spirituality and sense of inner strength that’s guided her life and career up to this point to her music. She’s not sure what’s next, but she is determined to make a difference in the world with whatever the universe offers.
Her life, like her music, is still very much a work in progress, and she can’t wait to share the next stage in her ongoing evolution with the world.
